Hosta Bloom: Back to the Source

Hosta Bloom
WaveHill: Returning to the Source: At Wave Hill House
I am honored to be included in this expansive exhibit from 10 years of the Winter Workspace Program. On view will be Hosta Bloom, a cast conical form made from left over pulped Hosta leaves gathered from the Wave Hill Flower Garden. It is supported by a bamboo structure harvested from nearby Spuyten Duyvil.

Wave Hill chose originality and diversity of artistic approach to frame Returning to the Source. Now a decade old, the Winter Workspace program is known for bold experimentation and for artists forging novel connections to nature. Reconnecting with former artists for the exhibition was exciting and meaningful. Bringing the artworks together now underscores the breadth of exploration that happens here.

Exhibition Dates: January 19 through March 29, 2020
Opening Reception: Sunday, January 19; 2:30 – 4:00 PM
