WEAVING REFLECTIONS IN TEA

Weaving Reflections in Tea, Table Art Commission for the New York Botanical Garden Summer Exhibition - Around the Table: Stories of the Foods We Love, The Bronx

SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 2022 – SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2022
10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Placed throughout the Garden, tables designed by artists living or working in the Bronx will bring to life stories about the exhibition’s featured plants and other notable edibles. Each uniquely designed table will celebrate the cultural and historical significance of crops and plant-based food traditions and will encourage sitting, sharing, and storytelling.

Join me and Ting Zhang from Tea Arts and Culture on the last day of the exhibit, September 11 from 12-4 by the Cantina near the Gift shop, to share a cup of tea and your stories about migration on handmade milkweed/mugwort paper. Then learn how to fold your story into a butterfly to become part of my future exhibition Monarch Migrations sponsored by the Urban Field Station/Nature of Cities Residency program.
